The 2020 Presidential Election Day Is Here!

Today is finally here and the entire world will be watching the outcome of this very important Presidential election between Donald Trump and Joe Biden. If you didn’t vote during the early voting process-it’s not too late. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, millions of Americans have already cast their ballots. Most voting poll locations will open early (around 6 or 7am) and remain open today until approximately 7 or 8pm local time. Make sure to check your Secretary of State or board of elections website for the exact location and hours of your polling precinct. You can also go to weall.vote/hub to get the information you need to make your plan to vote.

Please note that if you’re in line to vote before the polls close, you still have the right to vote even if the line is wrapped around the building. If anyone tries to tell you that you can’t vote, you can call the Election Protection Hotline at 866-687-8683.

Once you have reached the front of the line, you will present to a polling worker your identification. If you are truly registered to vote and are indeed at the right polling place, a poll worker will direct you to an open voting booth.

Some people are still under the false impression that their vote doesn’t matter. This is far from the truth. Voting is important for many reasons. Here are just a few: 1.) For many of us, our ancestors died fighting for our right to vote. 2.) It is your constitutional right! 3.) Voting is an opportunity for change. 4.) When you vote, you are taking an active role in deciding issues regarding health care, immigration, equal opportunity, voting rights, taxes, social security, etc. 5.) Your life and happiness may depend on it!

Please exercise your right to vote! Below you will find a public service announcement created by the non profit organization, Sisters of the Skies, Inc. (SOS) encouraging all Americans that are eligible to vote to exercise their right. Below the PSA is a video by SOS member Tammy Binns. Tammy wrote, produced, performed, and commissioned the song ‘Press On’ that is playing in the background of the SOS public service announcement. This is the election of our lifetime! So please VOTE, VOTE, VOTE, and don’t forget to Subscribe to my Blog! Happy voting!!
