McCall’s 7405 DIY Gathered-Neckline Maxi Dress + Pattern Review

Hello Everyone! My last post was in July because I’ve been super busy with some other major projects that required a significant amount of my time. However, recently I was able to sit back at my sewing machine to whip up this really quick maxi dress before the summer officially comes to an end. This is a super easy pattern and perfect for a beginner. I’ve also included a pattern review below. I bought my rhinestone Aviator sunglasses from Francescas and you can purchase them HERE. Happy Tuesday!

Pattern Description: Misses Gathered-Neckline Dress using McCall’s 7405 View D

Pattern Sizing:  I cut a size Small.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?  Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?  I love everything about this pattern and it’s great for a beginner because it’s categorized as a “Learn to Sew”.

Fabric used: I used a royal blue crepe fabric that I purchased from The Fabric Store last year.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I had to adjust and raise the armholes and take in the sides near the bust for a better fit.

Would you sew it again? I see at least one more of these in my future especially in a print.
